Olympia School District launches ParentSquare
ParentSquare logo

Over the past decade the Olympia School District has used SchoolMessenger ‘Communicate’ to send mass notifications (robocalls, emails and texts) to our families and staff at both the district and school level. This year we are moving to a new streamlined platform called ParentSquare.

Families will receive an emailed invitation to activate your ParentSquare account for the 2023-24 school year. This transition will not impact any of our district/school websites or the Schoology platform. ParentSquare will replace the Remind direct messaging platform used in the past by some individual school staff and families.

OSD families will continue to receive district and school communications via robocall, email and text regardless of whether or not you register for ParentSquare. The benefit to registering in ParentSquare is the access you will have to historical communications, the ability to edit and update your communication preferences and family contact information, and access to additional communication features as they are announced.

The ParentSquare app has a familiar design, similar to that of a social media feed. It also offers families the option of sending and receiving information in their preferred languages.

Should you have any questions regarding ParentSquare, please contact the Communications and Community Relations department at (360) 596-6103, or you can email us. We will be your contact for questions about ParentSquare.

We look forward to working together to streamline communications and improve family engagement!
