4th Grade Strings

4th Grade Strings/Orchestra (Beginner)

Hello Fantastic 4th Grade Students and Families! We hope you had a lovely summer, and are ready to learn some wonderful new things this year! For many of you this has been a long awaited milestone. Your study of a stringed instrument can lead to a lifetime of musical enjoyment not to mention the benefits for your cognitive and character development! The instruments available to you in 4th grade are Violin, Viola, and Cello.

What will Orchestra look like in the fall during distance learning?

Orchestra will be online during distance learning. We will have Zoom classes on Tuesdays and Fridays from 1:30-2:00pm. Your orchestra teacher will also be available at other days/times for additional online help, and we will be available at various schools for “drive-by instrument tuning/assistance.”

We’ll learn how to make beautiful music, take care of our instruments, and how to read music notes.

No prior experience required!
