For middle school students interested in high school courses:
Additionally, current 8th graders interested in retaking certain courses (e.g. Algebra, Geometry, Washington State History) may register for these courses using the High School registration form. Washington State History may only be taken by a student who has already taken the course and did not pass. This course will satisfy the graduation requirement for Washington State History, but does not bear credit. Some initial credit Elective courses are also available to incoming 9th grade students, but costs apply ($50-$150, based on need). These courses utilize the Edgenuity online curriculum (with in-person testing at ORLA), and will NOT be continued into the regular school year—all initial courses for high school credit must be completed by August 11, 2022. The deadline to register for High School Summer School is June 29, 2022.
If you have questions about which courses would benefit your student, please contact their school counselor.
