The Olympia School District is currently conducting a district-wide Communications Audit, led by the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA), to enhance our communication practices and better serve our students, staff, families and community. As part of this audit, NSPRA will facilitate 10 focus groups with various stakeholders (see below).
Focus Group Participant Info:
- Each focus group will answer open-ended questions. NSPRA will ensure anonymity in its reporting.
- Focus groups will be held from November 6-8, 2024 at the Knox Administrative Center (111 Bethel Street NE).
- Selected focus group participants will receive an invitation for a one-hour session on one of the dates.
Action Needed: Please review the focus group categories below and submit names of interested individuals by replying to this email or completing the Communications Focus Group Google Form. You can also forward this email to those who may be interested. We want to ensure diverse representation, so feel free to submit multiple nominations if you know of more than one interested individual or group.

- Community Groups/Partners: YMCA, Boys & Girls Club, CIELO, SafePlace, Olympia Education Foundation, City of Olympia, Olympia Police Department, Thurston County Sheriff's Office, Olympia Fire Department, PFLAG Olympia, Stonewall Youth, TCYFL, SSRF, etc.
