Nearly 69 percent of voters approved the Olympia School District’s Technology, Safety and Facility Improvement Replacement Levy in the February 10, 2026, Special Election, according to final, official election results.
The final set of results released on Friday, February 20, show the measure received 11,710 yes votes (68.78%) compared to 5,316 no votes (31.22%). A levy requires 50 percent-plus-one yes vote for approval. The Thurston County Auditor's Office Elections Division certified election results on February 20, 2026.
Olympia School District Superintendent Patrick Murphy thanked voters for their support. “We are so grateful that our voters continue to support funding for student devices, instructional technology, safety and security upgrades, and essential facility improvements across the district.”
Among other things, the $72.9 million replacement levy will fund new and continued technology and safety initiatives, including:
- One-to-one student devices and instructional technology
- Classroom display and audio system replacements
- Assistive technology for students with special needs
- Network infrastructure, wireless access and student hotspots
- School safety cameras and access control upgrades
- Interior and exterior school security improvements
- Ingersoll Stadium turf and lighting replacement
- Safe walking and biking routes to school
