Windy Weather Update: OSD Schools Operating as Scheduled

Hello OSD families and staff,

Fall is blowing in! We wanted to give families and staff a quick heads-up that the Wind Advisory is in effect today from 10 a.m. through 5 p.m.

Schools are operating as scheduled. However, with the gusty weather, some of our schools have experienced intermittent power or internet disruptions, and this may continue throughout the day.

If a power or internet outage occurs, we will continue the school day as planned whenever possible. We will provide additional information if an outage significantly affects school operations, phones or internet access.

All schools will still serve lunch. At buildings with power, we will serve meals as planned. If a school is without power and cannot prepare a hot lunch, students will receive a packed brown bag lunch instead.

Please be aware that communication with individual schools may be temporarily limited if their phones or internet are affected. We will share updates through district communication channels as needed.
