The Olympia School District Board of Directors invites families and community members to attend one of the upcoming Community Listening Sessions focused on the district budget. Both sessions will follow the same format, cover the same topics and provide the same opportunity for participants to share feedback on the budget survey and the budget planning process.
The two sessions will be held from 6-7 p.m. on the following dates:
- Tuesday, April 14, 2026: Washington Middle School Cafeteria
- Thursday, April 16, 2026: Jefferson Middle School Cafeteria
In a community listening session format, participants will move around the room, visit different stations at their own pace, share feedback and engage in conversation with others. The focus of these sessions will be the 2026-27 Olympia School District budget, including the budget survey and the budget planning process. Participants will have guiding questions to help share their thoughts on district priorities, challenges and the support students need moving forward. We want to hear what our community sees as the greatest needs and concerns as we continue this work.
If the dates or times of these sessions do not work for your family’s schedule, you are welcome to email the Olympia School Board directly before or after the listening sessions so your thoughts can still be heard.
The Olympia School District Board of Directors values community voice and encourages all interested families, staff and community members to take part in these important conversations.
