Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program
Preschool classroom

The Olympia School District is excited to announce the addition of no-cost Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP) preschools to our district for the 2024-25 school year. We are actively recruiting students and staff for these pilot programs, which will be taking place at both Garfield and McLane Elementary school.

ECEAP preschools are high-quality early childhood classrooms designed to meet the needs of students and families who are low-income, or may be experiencing other risk factors. These programs are free of charge and include meals for students. Families interested in enrollment can use our centralized referral form, visit our webpage, or contact the OSD Early Learning Department at (360) 596-7539 or [email protected].

McLane Elementary School
McLane will be home to the district’s full-day ECEAP pilot program. This school-day program will be staffed by a certificated teacher and teacher assistant. The program will include student meals, family support and transportation for all students.

Garfield Elementary School

Garfield will be home to the district’s integrated part-day ECEAP pilot program. This ECEAP/Developmental Preschool will meet the needs of students with disabilities as well as ECEAP-eligible community peers. This program will also include student meals, family support and transportation for all students.

The Olympia School District is looking for students and staff to fill these programs! If you are interested in working with our ECEAP programs as either a certificated or classified team member, please email the OSD Early Learning Department at [email protected] and monitor our district job postings.

Thank you for your support as we work to build out these exciting new district offerings. We are grateful to have Puget Sound Educational Service District as a partner during this program implementation process. Please feel free to call or email us with any questions you may have!
