Paraeducator Fundamental Course of Study

It is important to note that this requirement applies to any K-12 paraeducator staff members who assist with instruction in the classroom setting (excludes preschool and bus monitors).  This year, employees in these positions are required to complete 14 hours (out of 28) of the Fundamental Course of Study (FCS) program.  This training is part of the Paraeducator Certificate Program.

 

Paraeducators Hired in the 2021-22 School Year:

For NEW employees hired in the 2021-22 school year, the following 14 hours are required and are available asynchronously.  You can register on pdEnroller using the links provided below:

Synchronous training (via Zoom) for units 01, 02, 04 and 11 was offered earlier in the year with the ESD 113.  If you missed some of the units you can use the links provided to complete the remaining training.  Please note that FCS10 was always asynchronous.  If you have already completed all 14 hours, please disregard.

Paraeducators Hired BEFORE the 2021-22 School Year:

For those in their 2nd year and beyond, you are required to complete the remaining 14 hours in order to finish all 28 hours of the FCS requirement of the Paraeducator Certificate Program. PLEASE NOTE: All 14 hours are due no later than July 31, 2022.   You MUST click on the attendance link at the end of each course and submit your information for tracking purposes.  Once completed, you should receive a clock hour form(s) from the ESD 113.  A copy of your clock hour forms should be sent via email to April Pigue at apigue@osd.wednet.edu for tracking purposes.  PLEASE KEEP THE ORIGINAL CLOCK HOUR FORMS FOR YOUR RECORDS.
