Reeves Middle School principal announced
Aaron Davis, who served as Reeves Middle School principal from 2008 through 2014, will return to the school leadership role effective July 1.
The Olympia School Board unanimously agreed on April 17 to hire Davis as the school principal. Davis will replace Geoff Parks, who will become superintendent of the Napavine School District on July 1.
Executive Director of Human Resources Scott Niemann said the district involved Reeves Middle School staff and parents in the extensive hiring process. Employees and parents, for example, served on the committee that interviewed four applicants on April 12. That committee recommended that Superintendent Dick Cvitanich forward Davis’s name to the school board for confirmation.
In addition to previously serving as Reeves Middle School principal, Davis worked from 2014-2016 as Executive Director of Human Resources for the Olympia School District. This past year, he worked as Human Resources Director for the Office of the Attorney General.
