Athletic programs are an integral part of the Olympia School District vision: "a supportive environment which promotes student growth and achievement of the highest standards". Our athletic programs are designed to promote an active and healthy lifestyle through individual and team goal-setting, leadership, sportsmanship and other valuable skills.
The Olympia School District offers a wide variety of activities at both the high school and middle school level. Capital High School is a member of the 3A Western Cascade Conference comprised of 3 other local high schools while Olympia High School is a member of the 4A Narrows League comprised of schools in the Tacoma and Kitsap areas. In turn, both the WCC and Narrows are one of four member leagues that comprise the West Central District #3 of the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association.
