OSD Special Education Parent Teacher Organization
The Special Education PTO works to improve each child's school experience by connecting parents and educators with information and with one another. The PTO works in partnership with the District, making recommendations for the annual budget, educational programs, and any other topics concerning our students.
The PTO meets monthly during the school year and provides informative programs on a wide variety of topics including community resources, District programs, managing the IEP process, and much more. Meetings are open to everyone—parents, guardians, Special Education and general education teachers, family members, administrators, paraeducators and therapists. You may attend any or all meetings.
Monday, April 24, 2017 6-7:30 p.m.
Knox Building, 1113 Legion Way SE, Room 301
This month educators and administrators will share information and answer any questions about transitions between district programs and schools: Preschool to kindergarten; elementary to middle school, for example. Considerations for changing a student's placement - kindergarten or resource room to DLC; Life Skills to DLC, etc. will also be discussed. There will also be an opportunity to answer other questions you may have in thinking about our next school year.
All our welcome and free childcare is available. Please contact Erika Krupp at 360-705-6497 for information.
