Summer School 2012
Registration for the 2012 OSD Summer School program is now open. Summer School helps students reinforce important skills, fills in gaps in learning and better prepares students for the coming school year. Recommendations for students to attend Summer School are based on a handful of factors- teacher referrals, classroom performance and results on District or state tests.
Elementary School Summer School Program
The OSD has determined there will no Elementary Summer School program for 2012.
Middle School Summer School Program
The middle school program is for grades 6– 8. This program will be held July 9- August 9. Summer School includes one offering: Math/Reading/ Language Arts Support. Our goal is to offer support to students who need to increase understanding in the classroom as well as prepare for state assessments. Classes will be held at Olympia High School, 1302 North Street, Olympia, WA 98501. Students will meet on campus Monday-Thursday, from 9am to noon.

High School Summer School Program
The high school program is for grades 9-12. This program will be held July 9- August 9. Summer School offers an assortment of courses such as Algebra Prep, English, Psychology and Economics. Classes will be held at Olympia High School, 1302 North Street, Olympia, WA 98501.
Most courses are a combination of online learning (APEX) and on-campus work (with the exception of Fit-for-Life, Culminating Project, Work-Based Learning, or a special arranged class). APEX students will meet on campus twice per week and are expected to complete a pre-determined number of hours logged into the net-based website outside of the classroom. All other students will meet on campus Monday- Thursday from 9am-noon with an assigned A or B schedule.

High School Summer School students must attend an orientation on July 9th from 9-10:30am or 10:30-noon in the OHS Commons.
