Why Should OSD Students Take Career and Technical Education Classes?

Simply put, career and technical education programs prepare students for life after high school: whether that is work or continuing education. All career and technical programs strive to provide students with the following sets of skills:

  • Interpersonal Skills
  • Leadership Skills
  • Technical Skills
  • Work Maturity Skills

The Olympia School District offers a wide range of programs through Career and Technical Education. These programs provide students with information about non-traditional occupations and are accessible by all students regardless of ability, gender, ethnicity, cultural heritage, economic status or disability.
